Your timesno timed runs yet
Ride mode times every run on its own: the clock starts when you roll out of the start and stops at the finish, with splits at each marked spot. Leave Ride mode on between laps and it re-arms when you're back at the start. Times stay on this phone.

Know before you go
- Half a mile of quiet paved Lovell Canyon Road, then straight up the west side of Rocky Gap Road. Short, but steep and rough.
- The west side has a washed-out boulder section that stops most jeeps. Expect to walk your bike through it both ways.
- Same legality as Gap Grind: open Forest Service and BLM road through a corridor between two wildernesses. Ride the road only.
- No Red Rock fee or timed entry from this side. Turn around at the summit unless you have a shuttle; the far side drops into the fee area.
Ride smart
- Water: plan on about 1 L for this ride. There's none on the trail.
- Signal is spotty. Tell someone your route and your time back.
- Emergency: call 911 and say "Toll Free ride, parked at Lovell Canyon pullout, Red Rock Backcountry", plus the coordinates from Locate me.
- Wildlife: give horses, burros and anything with horns room, and never feed them.
- Stay on trail. Desert crust and mountain soil take decades to heal.
