Storm Chaser
The big Hurricane Cliffs lap: climb Goulds Rim, roll down JEM, then cruise the Hurricane Rim back to town.
Your timesno timed runs yet
Ride mode times every run on its own: the clock starts when you roll out of the start and stops at the finish, with splits at each marked spot. Leave Ride mode on between laps and it re-arms when you're back at the start. Times stay on this phone.

Know before you go
- Mostly smooth, flowy singletrack, but it is a long day (about 2,600 ft of climbing) with roughly 3.5 mi of dirt road early on (Hurricane Canal Road and the Goulds doubletrack).
- The first half climbs gradually on Goulds Rim and Gould Trail. The payoff is the fast, downhill-only top of JEM, ridden northbound only.
- Hurricane Rim adds a few rocky moves as it follows the rim above the Virgin River. Hikers use it too.
- Bail early by taking the Jem Trailhead road out to UT-59, or shorten the Rim with the Chinatown Wash connector.
Ride smart
- Water: plan on about 2.5 L for this ride. There's none on the trail.
- Signal is spotty. Tell someone your route and your time back.
- Emergency: call 911 and say "Storm Chaser ride, parked at Hurricane Hill Trailhead, Hurricane, Utah", plus the coordinates from Locate me.
- Wildlife: give horses, burros and anything with horns room, and never feed them.
- Stay on trail. Desert crust and mountain soil take decades to heal.
