Space Cadet
Outer Limits all the way around the west side to the Cockscomb, then the long Axis descent back to the Cultural Park.
Your timesno timed runs yet
Ride mode times every run on its own: the clock starts when you roll out of the start and stops at the finish, with splits at each marked spot. Leave Ride mode on between laps and it re-arms when you're back at the start. Times stay on this phone.

Know before you go
- Outer Limits is the work: rolling desert singletrack with a few steep, rocky pitches that lean advanced. Axis is the reward, mostly downhill back to the car.
- Stay right past the Ground Control and Last Frontier junctions unless you want the harder trails.
- Girdner, Cockscomb, Rupp and the rest of the Cockscomb trail system all meet out here (Coconino National Forest); signs at the junctions help.
- No shade and no water on the loop. Wilderness nearby is closed to bikes; this loop stays outside it.
Ride smart
- Water: plan on about 1.5 L for this ride. There's none on the trail.
- Signal is spotty. Tell someone your route and your time back.
- Emergency: call 911 and say "Space Cadet ride, parked at Cultural Park Trailhead, Sedona, Arizona", plus the coordinates from Locate me.
- Wildlife: give horses, burros and anything with horns room, and never feed them.
- Stay on trail. Desert crust and mountain soil take decades to heal.
