Sierra Front Row
Climb the Ballardini Ranch Trail into the foothills, roll south on the Sierra Front Trail toward Thomas Creek, then turn around for a long downhill home.
Your timesno timed runs yet
Ride mode times every run on its own: the clock starts when you roll out of the start and stops at the finish, with splits at each marked spot. Leave Ride mode on between laps and it re-arms when you're back at the start. Times stay on this phone.

Know before you go
- The way out is a steady climb on the Ballardini Ranch Trail, then rolling singletrack on the Sierra Front Trail. The return is mostly downhill, so save some legs for control, not power.
- The Sierra Front Trail continues south to the Thomas Creek Trailhead if you want more. Turn around wherever you like.
- Dogs on leash on the Arrowcreek-area trails (Washoe County). Uphill riders have the right of way.
- The trailhead is about 7 miles from the UNR campus (straight-line distance measured on the map), a short drive. No shade or water on the trail.
Ride smart
- Water: plan on about 1.5 L for this ride. There's none on the trail.
- Signal is spotty. Tell someone your route and your time back.
- Emergency: call 911 and say "Sierra Front Row ride, parked at Ballardini Ranch Trailhead, Reno, Nevada", plus the coordinates from Locate me.
- Wildlife: give horses, burros and anything with horns room, and never feed them.
- Stay on trail. Desert crust and mountain soil take decades to heal.
