Poppy Seed
Spin up the Bearclaw climbing line, roll the rim toward Green Valley, then let the famous downhill side of Bearclaw Poppy carry you all the way home.
Your timesno timed runs yet
Ride mode times every run on its own: the clock starts when you roll out of the start and stops at the finish, with splits at each marked spot. Leave Ride mode on between laps and it re-arms when you're back at the start. Times stay on this phone.

Know before you go
- Bearclaw Poppy runs one way downhill (southeast) between the Stucki junction and Bloomington. Climb on Bearclaw Up and only ride the main line back down.
- The turnaround sits just below the Three Fingers drops at the Green Valley end. Go look at them if you want, but the route skips them.
- The preserve protects the rare dwarf bearclaw poppy. Stay on the trail and skip it after rain, when the clay ruts badly.
- Fast, smooth and busy on weekends. Expect riders coming down while you climb the parallel line.
Ride smart
- Water: plan on about 1 L for this ride. There's none on the trail.
- Signal is spotty. Tell someone your route and your time back.
- Emergency: call 911 and say "Poppy Seed ride, parked at Bearclaw Poppy Trailhead (Bloomington), St. George, Utah", plus the coordinates from Locate me.
- Wildlife: give horses, burros and anything with horns room, and never feed them.
- Stay on trail. Desert crust and mountain soil take decades to heal.
