Your timesno timed runs yet
Ride mode times every run on its own: the clock starts when you roll out of the start and stops at the finish, with splits at each marked spot. Leave Ride mode on between laps and it re-arms when you're back at the start. Times stay on this phone.

Know before you go
- Out and back. You climb about 750 ft at a gentle, even 5 to 8 percent, then descend the same line. The highest point is about 9,200 ft, so expect to feel the altitude.
- It's an old gravel road bed (Scout Canyon Road), not singletrack. The surface is wide, loose in spots, and not technical.
- Turn around at the pin, just short of the Bonanza junction. Upper Bristlecone is closed by Forest Order 04-17-25-04 until at least May 2027, and Bonanza is wilderness with no bikes.
- This is the highest ride here. Snow often lingers into May, and it is typically rideable June through October.
Ride smart
- Water: plan on about 1 L for this ride. There's none on the trail.
- Signal is spotty. Tell someone your route and your time back.
- Emergency: call 911 and say "Old Timer ride, parked at Lower Bristlecone Trailhead, Mt Charleston Trails", plus the coordinates from Locate me.
- Wildlife: give horses, burros and anything with horns room, and never feed them.
- Stay on trail. Desert crust and mountain soil take decades to heal.
