Little Richard
Twist out on the 601, cut back on the McCullough Hills Trail. A lunch-hour loop right off the Mission Drive lot.
Your timesno timed runs yet
Ride mode times every run on its own: the clock starts when you roll out of the start and stops at the finish, with splits at each marked spot. Leave Ride mode on between laps and it re-arms when you're back at the start. Times stay on this phone.

Getting there
Park at McCullough Hills Trailhead
295 E Mission Dr, Henderson, NV 89002
- BLM/City trailhead at the end of the pavement on Mission Drive. Restroom, water and shade kiosk; separate horse lot, so leave that side for trailers.
- Start and finish are the same spot. Follow the cue sheet and the arrows on the map.

Know before you go
- The 601 is the twisty one: lava-rock boulders to weave through and a sandy wash near the north end. The McCullough Hills Trail home is wider and smoother.
- Short spurs off the 601 head into the freeride 'bike park' lines (Nitro and friends). Those are not BLM designated trails; stay on the numbered 601 posts.
- About 0.1 mi of Mission Drive pavement at the very start, then it's all dirt.
- Zero shade except the trail shelters. This is an October-to-April ride; in summer go at dawn or skip it, and carry more water than you think.
Ride smart
- Water: plan on about 1 L for this ride. There's none on the trail.
- Signal is spotty. Tell someone your route and your time back.
- Emergency: call 911 and say "Little Richard ride, parked at McCullough Hills Trailhead, Henderson / McCullough Hills", plus the coordinates from Locate me.
- Wildlife: give horses, burros and anything with horns room, and never feed them.
- Stay on trail. Desert crust and mountain soil take decades to heal.
